Christmas Miracle....

I'm

Going

Home!!!

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, and helped my family over the past six months.  We absolutely could not have done this without you!  We built stronger relationships, built new relationships and leaned on God like we've never had to before.  You blessed us with your listening ear, a hug, your food, your time, and my doggie George.  I'll add some pictures to this blog post and more info when Mamas and Da Dahs have more time to share...right now we're just hightailing out of the Pokie and heading home...but not before we drive all over town looking at Christmas lights.  It's my favorite.

Have
A
Very
Merry
Christmas!!!

Love,
Noah

Pokie Prison

Hi Everyone,

So the city of Folsom has its own prison and I know there is a song about Folsom Prison too.  What I didn't know is that the Pokie....well it's a prison too.  My ACN got a bit confused today and must have thought that it was time to raise my hands above my head for the downward part of the roller coaster ride.  There weren't any screams of glee or big grins today and instead we just felt deflated.  My ACN dropped from 108 yesterday to 104 today.  We're really hoping that it was just a one day dip and that it will turn right around.

So I didn't make it home today...but it's still three days until Christmas.  Heck, even if I scream "SEE YA POKIE!" on Christmas day that works for me too.

Anyway, that's all I have for you guys today.  Sorry I don't have better news for you all....but that's how it goes in Cancerland.

Love,

Noah

Boundin'

Hi Everybody!

Guess what I found!  Remember that trampoline that I hid under my bed back near the end of September?  Well guess what?!  I found it..yep, yep, yep!  If you want a clue where I hid it you can go look at the archives (lower left hand corner) and look up September 21st.  My ANC finally decided it wanted to get on the trampoline and start boundin'.  My ANC yesterday was 32 and today it is 48.  I think that gets a whoopie!  It's still a long way to go to get to 500 but I've just started my boundin'.

Anyone want to get on my trampoline and start bouncin' with me?  Well here's a video to get you in a boundin' mood.

So it's Tuesday and 48's my number.  I still have 452 to get my home pass.  We don't know when that will happen but it's what we all want for Christmas.

Love,

Noah

Whoopie Wednesday

Hi Everyone!

So I need each of you to stand up, raise your hands above your head, stick your bottom out, and yell....
MERRY
CHRISTMAS!!!

We got my test results  back again today...with a big ol' fat NEGATIVE and it was the same yesterday.  So with that (well as long as my Goose Egg disappears) I'm screaming "SO LONG POKIE" on December 22nd.  WHOOPIE!!!

Please keep praying that the Goose Egg (that's my ANC count) will go away and climb just how we want it to.

Thank you all for your prayers for me and my family!

Love,

Noah

Tuesday Talk

Hi Everyone,

So yesterday I did pretty good with my friend, Mr. Fever.  He would come and play in my body for a little while but he got bored a lot so he would go and do something else.  I'm doing pretty good on not throwing up anymore too.

We met a new friend yesterday.  They started reading about me on here and dropped of food...lots of it too!  Meat and potatoes and sweet rolls.....Yummo!!!

Then Stacie came by and we kicked the Mama's out of the room for awhile.  While Mama's was gone I learned a new song.  Since Stacie was holding me her pants kept trying to fall down and it would make me laugh.  The she started singing "Stacie's pants are falling down, falling down, falling down.  Stacie's pants are falling down and that's not good!"  Then I really started laughing.

So that's all I have for right now but we're still early in the day.  We still need for my tests to come back good so that we can start our 10 day count down to going home.

Love,

Noah

Roller Coaster Take Two

Hi Everyone,

So....the roller coaster continues here at the Pokie.

I had a fever until 4am this morning that averaged 102.  After that it dropped down to no fever.  But apparently my body thinks that life is boring without a fever so it came back to keep me company.  My fever now is 101.6.  Blech!

I'm not throwing up anymore....but I'm filling up diapers for my Mamas in a not so fun way.

The bacterial infection that I have is Streptococcus.  Don't worry, I can't say it either without spitting.  It's not "Strep Throat" but it is a very common bacteria found here in the Pokie.

In order to go home my blood cluter has to be negative ***and then*** we have a 10 day stay from that day with antiboitics.  We want that to come today or tomorrow at the latest.  We want to be home for Christmas.  Our Christmas wish is this....please pass this along.  Facebook it...email it....call people and ask people to pray, pray, pray!  We know you all are but we're hoping to add to the numbers of the prayers.  You know in Shrek where Donkey is jumping up and down saying "Me, me, PICK ME!!!"?  Well that's what we're trying to do here....I just haven't asked for waffles yet.

While you are praying please pray for my family.  We are all tired, frustrated, and a bit scared.

Thank you for your love for my family & me.

Love,

Noah

Update.....

Hi Everyone,

The latest is this.....

This morning was the talk of a 10 day minimum hospital stay, ICU, and concern over brain damage caused by such a severe fever.

Now we are at 100.7 and throwing up.  Yep....100.7!  We can't say if it was the nurse who misspoke Noah's temp, ears that heard incorrectly (but we don't think that was the case) or a God thing all together so we'll let you decide.

Even though Noah's fever is low we still need prayer for that and we really need prayer for the throwing up.  He also has an infection but we do not know exactly what that is right now.  Infections though are not good when your body doesn't have all the resources it needs to fight it off.

Thank you to everyone who has shared this blog and emailed wanting to know how to help.  For those who have asked about meals, yes, they could absolutely still use meals!  I'll email you all back individually here shortly.

Thanks again,

Stacie

*****Urgent Pray Request*******

Hi Everyone,

Please pray and pass this along to anyone else you know who prays.  Noah has a fever spike of 107.0 and is throwing up.  Yes you read that correctly, 107!  Brain damage starts to occur at 106.5.  I will be posting any and all updates as they occur.  You can also call or text me.  To receive my cell phone if you don't already have it you will need to either message me on Noah's email (noahmrmans@gmail.com) or message me on Facebook.  You can find me under Carrie, Ryan, Corliss or Beth's friends list.  Please keep focused on this blog for all your updates.  The Johnson family will not be readily available to answer your calls or texts because they need to focus on Noah.  We ask that if you came across this on Facebook to please post a link to this blog on your Facebook wall or email it out if you are willing.  We need absolutely all the prayer we can get right now.

Thank you for your prayers, support and understanding.

Stacie

U-Turn

Hi Everyone,

Well, today hasn't been such a good day.  I've had a fever ranging anywhere from the 100'd to 102.5 along with some throwing up again....and my ACN is still a big ol' fat Goose Egg.  This isn't the stuff that gets me closer to going home.  I know it's best that this all happens while I'm still in the hospital....but I just want to go home.  My whole family wants to go home.

So please pray for all of us.  We all need sleep.  Daddy's back is really hurting him.  He needs to sleep in a real bed.

Sorry I don't have better news for you all but it's just been one of those days.

Love,

Noah

Stick A Fork In Me.....

I'm done with Chemo that is!!!  WHOOPIE!!!

I had my last dose of L-Asparaginase Sunday morning at 9am.  It's hard to believe that I'm almost finished!

Can I just say that I really, really, REALLY hate those shots!  Man oh man are they yucky.  I tried everything I could think of to get out of that shot.  I yelled "NO" just as loud as I possibly could.  I cried.  I told my nurse that I wanted "Stacie do it" and I was told that the nurse had to do it.  Since none of that worked I resorted to what worked for me as a baby.  Baby sign language that is and started waving my hands back and for while screaming "All Done"!  It still didn't work and the Pokie lived up to its name.

Now my ACN is back to the Goose Egg.  I'm really excited because now all I have to do is hide the Goose Egg so my ACN can climb back up.  Guess what happens then!  I get to go home for good from the Pokie!  I want ti to climb so bad.  I want to be home for Christmas.  I want to see my doggie George again.

Well, that's all I have for you all right now.  I hope my next post is me waving goodbye to the Pokie and me getting in my Da dah's truck for my ride home.

Love,

Noah
