Saturday Shave

Hi Everyone,

Did you know that I've only had my hair cut once?  Mamas says that I'm pretty attached to my hair.

The doctors and the nurses have told me that my hair is going to go bye-bye for awhile.  Mommy and Daddy have told me too.  Even with everyone telling me that my hair was going to go away for awhile I still didn't really believe it.

It all started with my neighbor coming over and saying that they had just had their head shaved.  He's my friend who had a biopsy the same day as me.  His aunt came in with a thing that she said would tickle and you know what?  It did tickle.  She played with it on my arm to get me used to the buzzing sound and then she pretended that it was an airplane.  Next thing I know the airplane is having a hard time taking off and it took off some of my hair instead.  I was not happy.

I like my hair and I don't really like that it is gone.  Mommy and Daddy say that it will grow back and for now it will feel better not to have it falling out and tickling my face.

Mommy and Daddy were really brave and I was being brave too.  Matthew was there and he started to cry.  He hadn't cried all night until they started cutting my hair.  I think he cried for all three of us.

Love,

Mr. Mans

PS. I have a video of tonight.  I can't get it on here so please see my Mommy and Daddy's Facebook wall for the video.  If you are unable to see the video you can send a friend request to Mommy and Daddy's friend Stacie Evans (just say you are a friend of Mommy & Daddy) and you can see the video there on her page.

NoNo,

Thanks for a delightful time together today. We had fun teasing each other. The more I pointed a finger at you and said "don't smile", the bigger your smileeeee would get. For some happy reason, you were full of energy today. You walked to and from the playroom and you kept moving and moving and climbing all over the bed. At times it was hard trying to keep up with you :-). Please give Matthew a big good night kiss for me. Sleep well Noah. You are loved!

P.S. Thanks for sharing your Dorito chips with me.

Grandma here! I am so proud of you for being such a big boy! I was so surprised when you got your hair cut! I heard Daddy is getting his hair cut too! I want to come and see you soon, but I have to wait until my truck is ready. My truck is tired and needs to rest, but I will come see you soon! Hey Noah! I heard you have a bunch of new friends that come from church to see you! I hope they come and help you laugh! Grandma loves you and Jesus loves you! I will see you soon!

Love,
Grandma Erion

Good Morning Pumpkin,

Popa and I just wanted you to know we had a GREAT time with you, Matthew and Mommy yesterday. We "Love" the new look. It just reminds us of when you were a little baby...not much hair then either (smile). We were happy to see that you weren't in so much pain when getting your diaper changed. Thanks you Auntie Licia for telling us about the "butt cream"...it works. Even though you didn't walk "down" to the playroom, you did walk back to your room, especially when you knew daddy was there.

Well sweetheart have a wonderful day and keep smiling...God loves you and so do we. Grammy and Popa

Hi Noah,

I forgot to tell you. On my way home tonight from visiting you I had a VeggieTales song pop into my brain...Oh Where Is My Hairbrush? I knew being a nanny would prove useful in the future.

I say you have Mommy and Daddy learn the song with you and we'll sing it together next time I see you.

going to call your "summer do"...we like it! Don't worry about loosing your hair...it will grow back. Now you will look like Popa and your daddy with the low hair cut...a truly a Johnson (smile). By the way, we love that big smile you were sporting. Looking forward to visiting with you tomorrow.
Know we love you "with or without" hair.

Continue to be a brave and know you are not on this journey alone.

Sweet dreams to you and Matthew. May God continue to watch over you, mommy, daddy and baby Matthew.

Hey Grandson!

Brighter Days are Sweetly Dawning! I pray you have had a restful night. People I work with are praying for you. I proudly show off some pictures and the word they respond with is "Ohhhhh....!" I keep your picture with me and when I look at it I say a prayer for you. Glad you were able to walk a bit to the play room. It is nice to move around and see some new things.

We're very thankful that so many people, family, church, and others have seen such a blessing. The Bible says that "we have been blessed to be a blessing!" Noah, you have been a blessing but always remember those who have blessed your Dad, Mom, and Matthew. One day God will lead you to be a blessing to others in need be it medical or physical where you can help out.

Dear Heavenly Father, I would thank you for all you have done for Noah. The care at the Hospital, the staff, the Doctors, the family who give so much because of their love for Noah. For the many fellow believers and friends. Lord I would pray that with all of our different backgrounds that in caring for Noah the great strength that we can bring as a "Noah Team," will help to see Noah come to your perfect healing. Please Lord give him a good day. Bless and help his parents and little Matthew through these times. I ask this in our Lord and Savior's name, Amen.
